Gabriel India inks pact with Inalfa to manufacture sunroofs

In order to produce sunroofs in the nation, sunroof manufacturer Gabriel India and the Netherlands- based Inalfa Roof Systems signed a technical collaboration and alliance agreement on Tuesday. Inalfa Gabriel Sunroof Systems (IGSS), a new manufacturing plant to be established in Chennai by the two businesses, would go into operation in the first quarter of 2024 after receiving a combined investment of 1700 million.

The factory will be able to create 200,000 sunroofs annually. The $2 billion Anand Group's listed subsidiary is called Gabriel India. After getting regulatory permissions later this year, IGSS will be transformed into a joint venture between Inalfa Roof Systems Group and Gabriel India, with the former controlling 51%.
