Kobelco Releases New Mid-Size Short Radius Excavators

Kobelco Construction Machinery USA has released two new short-radius excavators, the SK230SRLC-7 and SK270SRLC-7. These machines are designed for use in tight spaces, while still providing the power and performance needed for a variety of tasks.

The SK230SRLC-7 has a digging force of 29,700 pounds and a maximum digging reach of 31 feet 10 inches. The SK270SRLC-7 is larger, with a digging force of 35,300 pounds and a maximum digging reach of 32 feet 4 inches. Both machines are powered by a 164-horsepower Tier 4 Final Yanmar engine.

The SK230SRLC-7 and SK270SRLC-7 feature a number of new technologies that improve performance and efficiency. These include a reconfigured iNDr cooling system, an intelligent control system, and a new cab design.
