New Delhi floats tender for 248-BB/NH-48 road tunnel

It was reported that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had issued a tender for the construction of a road tunnel on 248-BB/NH-48 in New Delhi, with the work being carried out on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis.

The task would encompass the construction of the road tunnel and its corresponding approaches, stretching from the Shiv Murti Interchange on NH-248-BB/NH-48 to Nelson Mandela Marg (NH-148AE) (from chapter 0.000 to 4.983).

The total cost of the project was estimated at Rs 19.93 billion, which also accounted for a maintenance period of 10 years.

Furthermore, it was stated that the contractual obligations must be fulfilled within a period of 48 months from the date of appointment.

The deadline for submitting bids had been set for July 17, 2023.
