110 MW solar power project for KSEB commissioned by Tata Renewable

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has announced the commissioning of a 110 MW solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The project will supply power to the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). According to an official press release, the solar project is expected to generate approximately 211 million units of electricity and contribute to a reduction of 258,257 metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

Ashish Khanna, CEO of TPREL, stated, "The project will help fulfill Kerala's green energy requirements. The timely completion of such significant projects reaffirms Tata Power Renewable's commitment to making substantial contributions towards the country's transition to green energy." With the addition of this installation, TPREL's total renewable energy capacity has reached 6,788 MW. This includes an installed capacity of 4,047 MW and an additional 2,741 MW under various stages of implementation.

The commissioning of this solar power project signifies Tata Power Renewable Energy's dedication to expanding India's renewable energy infrastructure and meeting the growing demand for clean and sustainable power sources.
