Karnataka Minister to Build Hi-Tech Cities on Bengaluru Outskirts

The Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) was given instructions by Housing Minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed to create a project report for the development of five high-tech satellite towns (satellite cities) on the outskirts of Bengaluru and to construct opulent villas on all four corners.

In light of the rising demand for homes in the state capital, he gave the concerned officials instructions to prepare a detailed proposal for the construction of world-class townships on 2,000 acres in each location. He also instructed them to build opulent villas in the private sector. He continued, "The land needed for these two projects needs to be identified as soon as possible. The minister instructed the KHB to create the plan in such a way that there would be space for each satellite town to be built on 2,000 acres, as well as the ability to create 30,000 sites and 5,000 homes. 1.50 lakh plots and 25,000 homes would be present in each of the five satellite towns.

The location of the villas must be near a natural area, and the Board must designate about 500 acres there. The Minister stated that while the KHB must not consider profit while creating housing programs for the underprivileged, there must be no compromise on work quality.
