On the first day of his visit, VK Pandian inspected different locations in Patna, Champua, Joda, and Keonjhar Sadar block to monitor and assess various development initiatives.
During his visit to Bhimkund in Patna Block, he conducted a thorough review of the ongoing project works and announced plans to transform Bhimkund into a world-class tourist destination. He instructed the authorities to prepare a Detailed Project Report. While interacting with the local residents, he attentively listened to their grievances and assured them that their requests regarding temples and mosques would be presented to the Chief Minister for consideration.
Next, the 5T Secretary visited the site of the Water Treatment Plant in Champua NAC. He received a briefing on the progress of the 'Drink from Tap' project and declared that the project would be successfully commissioned in approximately one month. He mentioned that the Drink From Tap Mission, costing Rs 1.75 billion, encompasses all major Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
He further guaranteed that the 'Rural Mega Piped Water Supply' project would be completed within the specified timeframe this year. VK Pandian interacted with the 'Jal Sathis' and stressed the significance of their work for the public's benefit. He also instructed the officials to expedite any pending tasks. Subsequently, he addressed a local gathering at Nehru Stadium, where he acknowledged the demand for floodlights and promised to fulfill this requirement within seven days. Additionally, he assured prompt attention to concerns related to farmers and drinking water. He directed the Collector to submit a report and assessment within seven days.
Continuing his visit, the 5T Secretary proceeded to Barbil, where he visited the Community Health Center (CHC). At the CHC, he inspected the ongoing works at the Nutrition Rehabilitation Center and Dialysis Center. Expressing his satisfaction, he observed that the facility effectively served the needs of mothers and patients, even those from the neighbouring state of Jharkhand. Pandian engaged with the patients to gain insights into their experiences and collect feedback on the benefits and amenities provided at the NRC and Dialysis Centre. He instructed the Collector to implement an efficient scale-up of the facilities to extend the advantages to a larger audience.
