The 'Vibrant Villages Programme' initiated by the Centre will focus on the development of Chhitkul, Pooh, Nako, Leo, and Chango villages in Himachal Pradesh, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Power. Union Minister RK Singh made this announcement during his visit to Chhitkul village in the Kinnaur district of the state. The minister for Power, New and Renewable Energy, stated that a Central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) would adopt Chhitkul and collaborate with the state government to transform it into a vibrant village.

During the visit, Minister RK Singh was joined by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in an interactive session with the local villagers.
