5MW solar plant inaugurated by BHEL CMD at its Bhopal unit

Dr Nalin Shinghal, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of BHEL, marked the inauguration of a 5 MW solar plant at the company's Bhopal unit. During the event, Dr Shinghal highlighted the critical importance of environmental protection in today's world and reaffirmed BHEL's unwavering commitment to safeguarding and preserving the environment across all aspects of its operations.

Spanning over an expansive area of 20 acres, this solar photovoltaic power plant is set to generate a staggering 79 lakh kW of electricity annually. This significant contribution will result in substantial cost savings, amounting to approximately Rs 550 million per year.
