Cisco to collaborate with Flex for Make in India in Tamil Nadu

The plan is to initiate the manufacturing of rack, tower, and blade servers by the conclusion of this calendar year.
Flex India's manufacturing unit, situated in the Oragadam special economic zone (SEZ) in Chennai, will serve as the manufacturing hub. This particular unit possesses the required manufacturing capacity to handle the volume of products that Cisco aims to produce.
Cisco executives have been holding regular meetings with both state and central government officials. The executives also met with government officials in Davos and conveyed their intention to manufacture in India.
Cisco mentioned that it is collaborating with a contract manufacturer based in southern India. The company stated that the manufacturing facility will construct Cisco's cutting-edge technology, which is designed to offer flexible and cost-effective delivery of next-generation services and applications, as well as support intricate cloud computing environments. However, Cisco declined to disclose the identity of the partner or the exact location of the plant.
