KCR to Inaugurate 15K 2 BHK Complex in Kollur on June 22

It was revealed that K Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister, would officially open the complex, which was being hailed as Asia's largest housing complex for the weaker sections, on June 22. Additionally, he would lay the foundation stone for a 200-bed super specialty hospital in Patancheru, with a total cost of Rs 184.8 crore. Out of this amount, Rs 1.38 billion would be provided by the Pollution Control Board, which had accumulated funds from contributions made by the industries in the region.

Officials explained that although the construction of the double-bedroom houses had been completed nearly five years ago, the inauguration had been delayed due to various reasons. However, they assured that everything was now ready for the beneficiaries to be allotted the houses.

According to information received from the Chief Minister's Office, the collectors of Hyderabad and Sangareddy districts were making arrangements for the chief minister's visit to Kollur. Deputy engineer Venkat Das, who was overseeing the project, revealed in an interview with TNIE that the chief minister would inaugurate the double-bedroom houses constructed under Kollur Phase-I.

A total of 117 blocks, comprising G+9 and G+10 floors, had been built on the 142-acre area at a cost of Rs 1,489 crore. The government aimed to compete with private builders near Hyderabad by constructing these double-bedroom apartments. Moreover, facilities such as a 33/11 KV sub-station for electricity supply, drinking water provisions, 136 CCTV cameras for security surveillance, two high-quality lifts per floor, and 118 shops had been provided in the apartments.

Venkat Das further elaborated that a welfare association would be established with the beneficiaries to oversee the management of the double-bedroom apartments. The association would generate income by renting out the shops.
