Punjab Issues Clarification to Green Energy Open Access Rule

To promote open access installations in the state, the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) modified its intra-state open access rules in accordance with the centre’s Green Energy Open Access Rules.

It is now official that the modifications, known as the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Intrastate Open Access) (10th Amendment) Regulations, 2023, have gone into force.

Promoting the use of green energy open access is the goal, along with streamlining the application process and changing several factors such cross-subsidy surcharges, standby charges, scheduling, and imbalance charges.
