Waaree Renewable Technology completes 122.5MW solar power project in MP

Waaree Renewable Technology, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies, announced the successful commissioning of a 122.5 MW solar power project in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. The project was undertaken for Masaya Solar Energy, a subsidiary of UPC Renewable Energy.
As per the official press release, this solar power project is anticipated to generate 349 million units of electricity annually, leading to a reduction of 373,422 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions. Alok Nigam, the Country Head of UPC Renewable Energy, stated that upon integration with the grid, the project will cater to the annual electricity needs of approximately 278,000 households in an environmentally friendly manner.
Viren Doshi, the Director of Waaree Renewable Technologies, mentioned that this collaboration with UPC Renewables marks their first venture with ISTS connectivity. In addition to providing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions, they will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant for duration of two years.
