Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital, where he made a request for funds amounting to Rs 15.46 billion for the Kichha Khatima Railway Station project.

During the meeting, Dhami took the opportunity to extend an invitation to the Prime Minister to be the chief guest at the upcoming Global Investors Summit, scheduled to take place in December within the state.

Dhami expressed the aim of attracting both national and international investors to Uttarakhand and assured the Prime Minister that, with his guidance, the investor conference would be a resounding success.

The estimated cost for the Kichha Khatima Railway Station project, as stated by Dhami, amounts to Rs 15.46 billion. Acknowledging the financial condition of the state, he appealed to the central government to bear the entire cost of the project.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister to grant approval for relocating the main railway station of Dehradun to Harrawala. This proposal aimed to improve traffic flow in Dehradun and Rishikesh. Dhami suggested transferring the land of the old railway station in Rishikesh to the state government as part of the plan.
