PM Modi dedicates 24.3B development projects in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan's Bikaner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated development projects totaling more than 243 billion, including a six-lane Greenfield Expressway part of the Amritsar - Jamnagar Economic Corridor.

PM Modi claimed during his speech that Rajasthan received two contemporary expressways within a short period of time. In terms of National Highways, Rajasthan has effectively scored a double century. According to him, the Greenfield Expressway will boost economic activity throughout western India.

The corridor, which was constructed in Rajasthan at a cost of around Rs 111.25 billion, extends over 500 kilometres from the villages of Jakhdawali in the Hanumangarh district to Khetlawas in the Jalore district.

Before the official opening, Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal posted pictures of the highway on Twitter and said that it will usher in a new era of growth in the lives of ordinary people.

With the completion of the Greenfield Expressway, Rajasthan will be connected to Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir. Bikaner and Rajasthan will also have access to significant commercial seaports like Jamnagar and Kandla.
