Hyderabad Metro to have wide roads under Viaducts

According to the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMRL), the MGBS-Falaknuma stretch of Corridor-II (Green Line) will feature 120-feet wide roads beneath the viaduct at all five stations. This decision was made in response to the challenges and congestion experienced during the implementation of phase-1, as stated by NVS Reddy, the managing director of HMRL. The construction process for this stretch will involve acquiring more than 1,000 properties.

it was anticipated that 103 religious structures, including 21 masjids, 12 temples, 12 ashoorkhanas, 33 dargahs, seven graveyards, and six chillas, would be affected. However, through engineering solutions such as adjusting the curvature and viaduct design, only four structures will ultimately be impacted. Officials claimed that MAUD minister KT Rama Rao had requested the preservation of these four structures by implementing engineering refinements, which are currently being addressed.

HMRL officials have initiated the process of creating individual sketches for the more than 1,000 properties expected to be affected. Land acquisition notices will be issued in approximately one month, according to NVS Reddy.
