Chhattisgarh Govt Inks Deal with Tata for ITI Transformation

As per the agreement, Tata Technologies will introduce six new trades and 23 new short-term courses in these 36 ITIs, along with state-of-the-art technical workshops and trainer arrangements. The company will also provide two trainers for the initiative.
The primary objective of this project is to impart advanced skills training to more than 10,000 young individuals annually, thereby enhancing their employment prospects. This move is expected to create better job opportunities for skilled youth in the region.
Awanish Sharan, the director of skill development, technical education, and employment department, and Pawan Bhageria, president of Tata Technologies Limited, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
Chhattisgarh's emphasis on promoting innovation to generate more job opportunities has led to increased income levels for farmers, laborers, and tribal communities in forest areas.
The new technical trades offered by these ITIs will cover areas like advanced tool artisan, industrial robotics and digital manufacturing technician, and manufacturing process control and automation in the one-year program. In the two-year program, the training will include advanced Computer Numerical Control Machining, Basic Designer and Virtual Verifier (Mechanical), and Mechanic Electric Vehicle trades, adhering to global standards.
Over the last four and a half years, the state government has allocated approximately Rs 1,60,000 crore through various welfare schemes, which have had a positive impact on trade and the industrial sector in Chhattisgarh, as stated by the chief minister. He also affirmed the government's commitment to transform villages into production hubs and cities into business centers.
Moreover, urban residents are now shifting towards rural areas due to the profitability of agriculture.
The ITIs set to undergo transformation are located in Baikunthpur, Odgi Wadrafnagar, Mainpat, Bagicha, Lormi, Koni-Bilaspur, Korba, Janjgir, Akaltara, Hasaud, Raigarh, Kharsiya, Rajnandgaon, Dongargaon, Manpur, Chhuikhadan, Pandariya, Gunderdehi, Dallirajhara, Gurur, Durg, Patan, Dharsiwa, Hirapur, Arang, Abhanpur, Bhatapara, Simga, Bagbahra, Pithora, Kanker, Antagarh, Charama, Nagarnar, and Dantewada regions.
