Union Home Minister Amit Shah Opens Vital Road Projects in Odisha

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated the expanded Kamakhyanagar-Duburi road section, now four lanes wide at a cost of 7.61 million pounds. He also laid the foundation stone for the 3.4 million pounds road widening and strengthening project from Motar to Baner via Ladugaon in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. The event was attended by Odisha's Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, and Union Minister of Education and Skill Development, Dharmendra Pradhan. During his address, Shah emphasised the significance of the newly extended Kamakhyanagar-Duburi highway, spanning 51 kilometers. This development will enhance connectivity between the mineral-rich districts of Angul and Dhenkanal in Odisha, strengthening their link with the national highway network. He commended the government's scientific approach, expediting toll collection via fast tags, streamlining land acquisition, prompt dispute resolution, and utilising technology and alternative funding to accelerate highway construction and bolster economic activity.
