BluPine and ACME Winners in RUVNL's 1.2 GW Solar

The winners of Rajasthan Uria Vikas Nigam's (RUVNL) auction to set up 1,200 MW of solar power projects anywhere in India with a committed supply for at least six hours during the peak demand periods from an energy storage system are Solarcraft Power (BluPine Energy) and ACME Solar.

Out of the 600 MW quoted, BluPine Energy won 100 MW at a rate of 6.68 cents (or $0.081) per kWh, while ACME won 500 MW at a tariff of 6.69 cents (or $0.081) per kWh.

Due to the storage component, the revealed tariffs for the auction were on the higher side.

RUVNL held the auction for only 600 MW, and there have been no updates on the capacity that is still available.

RUVNL announced the tender in March of this year.

To fulfill its renewable purchasing requirement goals, RUVNL will use the power produced by these projects.
