Sany introduces compact and midsize Telehandler models

Sany introduced two new models, the compact STH634A and the midsize STH844A, to expand its telehandler lineup.

During ConExpo 2023, Craig Moslander, Sany's senior director of engineering and product management, mentioned that they were entering the residential construction market with a focus on smaller and more compact jobsites.

Moslander pointed out that the latest releases followed Sany's venture into the North American telehandler market back in 2020, introducing the larger STH1056A with a lifting capacity of 10,000 pounds and the STH1256A with a capacity of 12,000 pounds. Both models had lift heights of 56 feet.

The newly introduced STH634A now represented Sany's smallest telehandler, featuring a lift height of 34 feet 1 inch and a maximum lifting capacity of 6,000 pounds.

As for the STH844A, it was designed to handle loads of up to 8,000 pounds and had a maximum lift height of 44 feet.

Despite the varying sizes, all four models shared common operating controls and features. Sany's approach remained consistent with a focus on a "fully loaded is the new standard" concept.

Moslander explained, "We are expanding our product family with a consistent theme across all our offerings. We have standardized the suite of fully loaded features across all Sany equipment, and there are common cabs for all the telehandlers. This truly constitutes a comprehensive range of products."

The telehandlers' standard features included a multifunction joystick, a tilting steering wheel, a backup camera with reverse sensors, electro-hydraulic control, a four-wheel fender package, a lift hook, auxiliary hydraulic connections on the boom, LED cab lights on both the front and rear, a beacon, LED work lights, cushioned solid tires, and stabilizers mounted on the axle.
