Rajasthan gov. approve for irrigation infrastructure upgrade
In an effort to improve the state's irrigation infrastructure, the government of Rajasthan has sanctioned approximately Rs 700 crore for improving the canal system and other associated works.In several parts of the state, the state government has been striving to improve and expand the water infrastructure. Six projects relating to the state's canal system have just received approval from Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for a total of Rs 381.74 crore, according to a top state government official.
Giving specifics, the official said the projects cost a total of Rs 79.94 crore to increase water availability in the Rajsamand Canal by expanding the capacity of the Khari feeder, Rs 17.60 crore for the Balore and Sanchore lift distributary system of the Narmada canal project, Rs 8.05 crore for the tail minor of the Bhimguda distributary system, Rs 14.43 crore for the minors of the Ratoda distributary system, Rs 20.47 crore for the In the meantime, work at a filtration plant close to Bada Talab at Guda Vishnoiyan in Luni, Jodhpur, has been sanctioned for Rs 123.53 crore.
