ExecuJet MRO focuses on India's business aviation expansion
2023-08-24

ExecuJet MRO Services, a global leader in business aviation-focused maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), takes centre stage with its Dubai expansion, eyeing India's thriving market. Graeme Duckworth, President of ExecuJet MRO Services, part of Dassault Aviation, highlighted India's prominence as Asia's second-largest business aviation market, poised for 5 per cent to 10 per cent year-on-year growth.
Amid the pandemic's turmoil in commercial aviation, the business aviation sector emerged robustly, accommodating travel needs primarily through chartered flights. The sector's resilience persists, supported by manufacturers like Dassault Aviation, which introduced new aircraft models.
Duckworth emphasised the strategic alignment between ExecuJet MRO and India's trajectory. The partnership leverages ExecuJet MRO's Dubai facility to cater to India's expanding market. He underscored the notable growth potential in India's business travel, leisure, and economic sectors.
ExecuJet MRO, operating across Dubai, South Africa, Belgium, Malaysia, and Australia since 1991, has capitalised on the rise in private and business aircraft usage during the pandemic. The company's shareholder, Dassault, unveiled the Falcon 6X and Falcon 10X aircraft, reflecting unwavering confidence in business aviation. Supply chain challenges, including parts shortages, have been managed creatively to ensure seamless services.
The engagement with Indian regulatory authorities, including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has been positive. Duckworth highlighted their compliance with stringent regulations and successful inclusion of Falcon aircraft in India's approval list.
Duckworth revealed the Middle East and Malaysia as pivotal growth hubs for ExecuJet MRO. The company intends to expand its support for Falcon and Gulfstream aircraft models, focusing on on-site technical assistance for clients.
As the industry progresses beyond pandemic repercussions, skill acquisition remains a challenge. ExecuJet MRO addresses this through apprenticeship programs while considering centralization of specific services to enhance efficiency. With an ever-evolving landscape, ExecuJet MRO navigates towards becoming a stronger player in the global business aviation MRO realm.
