REC to provide Rs 45.27 B Loan for West Bengal power project

REC Limited has partnered with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to provide a loan of Rs 45.27 billion for a 1,320 MW project (2x660 MW) at Raghunathpur in West Bengal.

The collaborative Raghunathpur Phase-II project between REC and DVC will significantly contribute to West Bengal's power generation capacity. With a combined capacity of 1,320 MW, this venture marks a significant step forward in the region's energy landscape.

As the project progresses, both REC and DVC are committed to ensuring its successful implementation, emphasising efficiency, innovation, and environmental responsibility. This strategic alliance underscores their dedication to sustainable development and strengthening the power sector.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Chairman Ram Naresh Singh, along with other officials from both organisations.
