Operations begin at new terminal of Port Blair airport

On Monday, the Port Blair airport's new terminal building went into operation. according to officials. An IndiGo flight from Chennai arrived first, signalling the start of the operations. Flight 6E-6213 is landed around 7.10 am with 83 passengers at Veer Savarkar International Airport, according to them.
Air India's jet was the second to arrive. 84 people from Chennai were on board flight AI-549 when it landed at 7.20 am, they added.
The first flight from Port Blair, carrying 159 passengers to Chennai, took off at 7.35 a.m. on an IndiGo aircraft. With 161 passengers, the Air India flight made a second trip back to Chennai.
