New tender process for Dharavi redevelopment transparent

According to evidence provided by the Maharashtra government to the Bombay High Court, the new tender for the Dharavi slum redevelopment project in Mumbai, which was published in 2022, was transparent and the highest bidder, the Adani Group, was not given an unfair advantage.

Early this month, Seclink Technologies Corporation filed a case challenging the government's choice to award the project to Adani Properties Private Ltd., and the government responded with an affidavit.

"The petitioner has made unsupported and careless claims, such as the respondents' acts being driven by politics, without any evidence, which is true. The affidavit stated that the writ petition "deserves to be dismissed with costs for making such reckless accusations alone.

On Thursday, the appeal will be heard by a division bench consisting of Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and Justice Arif Doctor.
