Approvals for self-redevelopment of societies within 3months

Your desire to build a new, larger home close to where previous families have lived for many years has been made easier.

Housing societies' self-redevelopment proposals will now be processed more quickly, allowing for the early start of construction.

The Maharashtra government has given such societies yet another boost by instructing its officers to clear applications while ensuring that all necessary permissions are in place within three months of the date of application. Recently, district zonal officers were appointed to approve self- redevelopment proposals.

Other than the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank, the government has also designated the central district cooperative banks in each district as the nodal organization for financing these projects.

The Mumbai Central District Cooperative Bank will provide financial services for the Mumbai region. You may remember that the state already waived the registration and stamp duty payments for redevelopment proposals.
