Trial run of Odisha's 2 Vande Bharat Express begins

A significant milestone in Odisha's railway connectivity was achieved as the trial run of the state's second Vande Bharat Express, slated to operate on the Puri-Rourkela route, commenced on Monday. The trial run of this high-speed train, known for its modern amenities and efficiency, began between Puri and Talcher Road stations, according to a railway official.

The trial run was set in motion at 9:30 am from Puri railway station, with the train expected to arrive at Talcher Road station around 12:30 pm, as confirmed by the railway official. This trial run marks a crucial step towards the operationalization of this service, which is eagerly anticipated by residents and commuters in the region.

Indian Railways is gearing up to introduce the second Vande Bharat Express in Odisha, specifically running between Puri and Rourkela. This train will traverse the Puri-Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Dhenkanal-Angul-Rourkela route, catering to passengers traveling between the coastal and western regions of Odisha.
