ACC starts clinker production at Ametha plant

ACC has announced the commencement of commercial clinker production at its newly established Ametha cement plant, situated in the Katni district of Madhya Pradesh. The plant possesses a clinker production capacity of 3.3 million tpa and a cement capacity of one million tpa. This greenfield integrated project is expected to contribute to achieving the lowest production costs for clinker and cement, ultimately expanding ACC's total portfolio to 37 million tpa. Furthermore, this development aligns perfectly with the company's growth strategy, aimed at meeting the evolving market demands within the cement industry.

Due to the plant's strategic location, Madhya Pradesh provides a logistical advantage that enhances the company's ability to efficiently serve critical markets. This ESG compliant facility also underscores ACC's dedication to environmental responsibility, thanks to its incorporation of a 16.3 MW waste heat recovery system (WHRS) capacity and the potential to utilize up to 15% of alternative fuel resources (AFR).
