Under CMD Swarup, CONCOR to focus on logistics

Sanjay Swarup, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of state-owned Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), has unveiled his vision to transform the country's largest rail container hauler into a modern logistics company. This strategic move aligns with the government's efforts to address high logistics costs and enhance India's trade competitiveness.

In his inaugural message as the Chairman and Managing Director, delivered on Sunday, Swarup outlined key areas of focus for CONCOR's future. He emphasized the importance of customer-centricity, offering comprehensive and cost-effective logistics solutions, prioritizing efficiency, and adopting environmentally-friendly practices. Swarup also highlighted the significance of establishing robust first-mile and last-mile connectivity, as well as enhancing warehousing capabilities.

In a motivational call to company employees, Swarup proposed a new motto, urging everyone to "Think Logistics, Think CONCOR." This motto encapsulates the company's commitment to embracing a holistic approach to logistics and positioning itself as a leading player in India's evolving trade landscape.
