Delhi's Urban Extension Road-II to open in 2-4 mn

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced on Sunday, October 1st, that Delhi's long-awaited Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II), connecting North Delhi to the Delhi-Jaipur highway, is set to become operational within the next 2-4 months. Speaking at an event addressing the Indian diaspora in Prague, Czech Republic, Gadkari emphasized the transformative impact of this project, highlighting that it will significantly reduce travel time to the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Gadkari stated, "We have constructed the UER-II ring road in Delhi. It will open in 2-3 months. Normally, if you didn't use this road, it would take you two hours to get to the airport. But after the UER-II's construction, which will start in 3-4 months, you will reach the T3 airport in 20 minutes instead of two hours."

Previously, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari confirmed to CNBC-TV18 that the road would open before the end of the year. He described the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) as the "lifeline of Delhi" and praised the project as a "game-changer" for the city, highlighting its potential to revolutionize transportation in the region.
