India-Middle East-Europe corridor will become basis of world trade

In his monthly broadcast of Mann ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the India-Middle East-Europe corridor is destined to serve as the foundation of global trade for centuries to come with history recording India as its visionary originator.

Drawing parallels to the ancient Silk Route, a historic trade route that India thrived upon during its days as a prominent trading powerhouse Modi emphasised that it was India that proposed the concept of the India-Middle East-Europe economic corridor during the recent G20 Summit.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the collective jubilation of the nation remarking that the success of India's Chandrayaan-3 mission coupled with the triumph of the G20 Summit had amplified the happiness of every citizen. These two achievements he noted had been prominent in the messages he received from the people.

Furthermore, Modi underscored India’s global leadership role noting that the world had acknowledged India's capabilities as it successfully secured the African Union's membership within the G20.
