Gujarat RERA asks developers to comply with queries

In response to ongoing concerns raised by developers regarding delays in the registration process, the Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has emphasized the importance of developers addressing its queries promptly. Senior officers within RERA have revealed that approximately 200 project registrations are currently pending due to developers' failure to respond to queries raised by the regulatory authority.

A senior officer at RERA explained, "There are outstanding queries related to various projects, encompassing legal, technical, and financial aspects, for which we have requested developers to provide the necessary information required for registration. Regrettably, around 200 projects remain in limbo as developers have yet to furnish the essential details. This has inevitably resulted in delayed registrations. In many instances, developers rely on external consultants who may not adequately address these queries."

The call for more expeditious responses from developers comes as RERA strives to streamline and expedite the registration process, ensuring that projects comply with regulatory requirements. Prompt and comprehensive communication between developers and the regulatory authority is seen as essential to facilitate the timely registration of real estate projects and maintain transparency and accountability in the sector.
