Mangaluru Airport Wins Gold for Innovative Concept

Mangaluru International Airport has been honoured with a gold award at the Total Quality Management (TQM) summit organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI). The accolade recognises their innovative "Box in Box" concept. This achievement at the TQM India Summit has also secured the airport a spot in the international-level TQM competition scheduled for 2024.

The "Box in Box" concept, developed by Team Prime Kaizen, which includes employees from the airport's commercial and quality departments, is designed to enhance passenger satisfaction while maintaining a focus on revenue generation. The commercial development layout prioritises providing passengers with top-notch amenities and an exceptional retail and food and beverage experience.

Additionally, Sachin Kumar Gupta, the site finance controller at the airport, received the 'Finance Transformations Leader of the Year' award at the 10th edition of the Future of Finance Future Summit and Awards 2023 held in Bengaluru on October 6.
