The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) is preparing the first rake of a 22-coach non-AC Vande Sadharan train. This train, designed for general passengers, aims to offer a travel experience similar to Vande Bharat Express. The train can accommodate approximately 1,800 passengers and has a maximum speed of 130 kmph. It features aesthetically pleasing and ergonomically designed seats and berths, modern lighting, and mobile charging points for every seat. The push-pull arrangement, with locomotives at both ends, ensures faster acceleration and a more seamless travel experience. The train is expected to be rolled out by the end of the month.
Additionally, the Indore-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express has been extended to Nagpur, enhancing connectivity in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The train operates at high speeds, reducing travel time and benefiting business and tourism in the region.
Lastly, the schedule for the Vande Bharat train from Tatanagar to Varanasi has been announced, covering a distance of 574 km in 8 hours with stops at key stations.
These developments mark significant progress in improving rail travel in India.
