CM Jagan set for global irrigation summit in Visakhapatnam

K S Viswanathan, Joint Collector, conducted a review meeting with senior officers regarding the arrangements being made for the high-profile event in Visakhapatnam. He informed that the Chief Minister would be participating in the program organised under the Indian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (INCID).
It was stated that the international event would see participation from 90 countries, with approximately 300 delegates discussing crucial issues related to irrigation and the conservation of water bodies. The delegates were planned to visit Araku and Thatipudi reservoirs as part of their study tour.
The ICID Congress, which is the main triennial event addressing global issues in the sector and developing solutions, had returned to India after about six decades due to the efforts of INCID and support from the state government, as per information available on INCID's web portal.
