Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, proudly announced the completion of the 1.08 kilometer long, four-lane Ramban viaduct on the Udhampur-Ramban section of National Highway-44. Describing it as a significant milestone, Gadkari stated, "I am delighted to share that we have successfully finished the construction of the Ramban Viaduct in Jammu and Kashmir. Spanning a length of 1.08 kilometers with 4 lanes, this remarkable project, costing Rs 328 crore, stands tall on the Udhampur-Ramban section of National Highway 44."

He highlighted that the viaduct comprises 26 spans and utilises a combination of concrete and steel girders in its structural design. Gadkari emphasised that this achievement would greatly reduce traffic congestion in Ramban Bazar and enhance the smooth flow of vehicles.

Gadkari also affirmed the commitment of the Central government to provide high-quality infrastructure to Jammu and Kashmir. He stated, "Under the visionary leadership of PM Modi, we are dedicated to offering Jammu and Kashmir exceptional highway infrastructure. This monumental accomplishment not only boosts regional economic prosperity but also enhances its appeal as a premier tourist destination."
