NTPC and NHAI partner to use ash in road construction

NTPC and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) announced their joint collaboration to incorporate Ash from thermal power plants in road construction. It was revealed that around 70 per cent of the road construction Ash used by NHAI would be sourced from NTPC, emphasising their shared vision of sustainable development. NTPC's initiatives in Ash utilisation were highlighted, showcasing the potential of utilising industrial by-products to boost economic growth while ensuring environmental responsibility.

In the context of this collaboration, these organisations expressed their intention to strengthen India?s infrastructure while improving the durability, strength, and eco-friendliness of the country's roads.

NTPC's commitment to developing environmentally friendly and long-lasting roadways was evident through its Rs 30 billion contract through GeM, indicating their dedication to this initiative.
