NCD urges government to pave Naga Cemetery road

The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) reiterated its appeal to the state government, requesting the construction of a black-top road from the main road to the New Naga Cemetery in Zani village. They emphasised that the road had been in a deplorable condition since the cemetery's commissioning in 2017.

Holuto Aye, Vice President (admn), NCD, and the LK Peter Anal, general secretary, mentioned that, since the commissioning of the cemetery, vehicles carrying the deceased and accompanying vehicles had to navigate through a very muddy road during the rainy season. The NCD expressed their gratitude to the advisor for Industries and Commerce, Hekhani Jakhalu Kense, for recognising the need for the road and the difficulties faced by the public. She took it upon herself to initiate the construction of the road's granular sub-base using her own financial resources. Consequently, the NCD appealed to the relevant government department to ensure the road is completed to a "pucca black-topping standard suitable for all seasons."
