MMRDA allocates Rs 2.23 bn for last-mile connectivity at 20 stations

Furthermore, to ensure the proper execution of the work, it has been mandated by the MMRDA that the contractor appointed will be held responsible for overseeing the work for two years following the completion of the project. Companies interested in participating can submit their bids until December 22.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is gearing up to implement the Multi Modal Integration (MMI) plan at 20 stations along the Mumbai Metro Line 2B, which runs from DN Nagar to Mandale, with a budget of Rs 2.23 billion.

It has been planned by the authority to establish last-mile connectivity within a 250-meter radius at these 20 stations along Metro Line 2B. Consequently, the plan has been divided into four packages, each comprising five stations.

As part of this initiative, the MMRDA aims to develop infrastructure to facilitate easy access for commuters to autos, BEST buses, private cabs, rental bicycles, and parking facilities, all within the station premises.
