Gurugram realtors face fines for violating GRAP

It was stated that the enforcement office has issued a helpline number for filing complaints. In case construction work is being conducted in licensed colonies or any violation of rules is observed on-site, residents can file a complaint at 9667143648. Following this, the department will inspect the site and take necessary action. The spokesperson mentioned that, so far, 10 challans totaling Rs 2.5 lakh have been issued in various licensed colonies.
Developers in licensed colonies have also received letters from DTCP, urging them to comply with GRAP norms. Additionally, they have been warned of potential actions if violations are discovered during inspections by field staff. District town planner (enforcement) Manish Yadav penalised 10 developers within a week for not immediately halting construction and demolition activities, failing to cover construction materials and buildings with green clothes, and neglecting to sprinkle water on the sites.
Yadav explained that penalties will be collected prior to the issuance of occupation certificates. He stated, "A copy of the challan issued for the violation of rules at the site is being sent to DTP planning, and it is being requested to ensure the recovery of the fine before issuing the occupation certificate for the building."
