Vizhinjam international seaport welcomes third berthed ship

The inspection of the Howrah Maidan to Esplanade stretch of East West Metro was carried out by Jaya Varma Sinha, the Railway Board Chairman and CEO. According to an official, she traveled in a train through the country's first-of-its-kind tunnel under the River Hooghly.

During the berthing of the second ship at Vizhinjam on November 10, clearance for crew members for the three ships was obtained by the port authorities. The second ship, named 'Zhen Hua 29,' had departed from Shanghai for Vizhinjam port on October 24 and reached the offshore location on November 10. Immigration clearance for this ship was secured after four days.

It is anticipated that the fourth ship, Zhan Hua-15, will arrive at Vizhinjam by December 15. This ship will bring two ship-to-shore cranes and three-yard cranes. Zhan Hua-15 was the first ship to reach the port in October, and it is scheduled to reach the port in December. It is noteworthy that there was no delay this time in obtaining clearance for the crew members to land at the port.
