Scania Unveils G500 Super Heavy Tipper at EXCON 2023

Scania Commercial Vehicles takes a bold step in revolutionizing the mining and transport sector with the introduction of the G500 8x4 Super Heavy Tipper. Unveiled at EXCON 2023 in Bengaluru, India, this truck not only sets new standards in power and efficiency but also emphasizes eco-friendly design and sustainability.

Engineered to meet the toughest global emission standards, the G500 Super features a low-emission, biodiesel/FAME-compatible engine delivering 500 horsepower. This epitome of fuel efficiency demonstrates Scania's commitment to addressing the industry's dual challenge of emission reduction and profitability. The Super engine achieves a notable 8 per cent fuel savings and proudly holds the prestigious Green Truck Award for 2022.

The G500 Super, powered by XT, promises super horsepower with the highest torque offering on the market. Equipped with a highly efficient New G33 Heavy-duty Gearbox, a robust 395L steel fuel tank with a fuel optimisation unit, a new chassis composition generation, and a 40 per cent stronger powertrain, this tipper is specifically developed for mining operations. It ensures higher safety margins on critical components, superior drive-ability, and outstanding technical hardiness to conquer the operational challenges of the next decade.
