UREDA floats tender for 250 MW of solar projects

The Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) has invited bids to empanel developers to commission 250 MW of grid-connected solar power projects under ?Mukhyamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojana.?

The selected developers must also oversee the project?s comprehensive operation and maintenance for five years. The last day to submit the bids is February 8, 2024. Bids will be opened the next day. Bidders must submit a bid security amount of Rs 1 million ($12,030).

Under this program, solar projects of 20 kW, 25 kW, 50 kW, 100 kW & 200 kW capacity or as prescribed by UREDA will be installed in the state. The tentative capacity is around 250 MW.

The maximum benchmark rate of 1 kW solar project has been set at Rs 50,000 ($601)/ kW. However, the prices may be negotiated between the firms and the allottee.
