Revolutionary Recycle pay app incentivises waste recycling

Atal Incubation Centre-Nalanda Institute of Technology Foundation (AIC-Nalanda), supported by AIM, NITI Aayog, Govt. of India, declared the introduction of the "Recycle Pay" application by Ceiba Green Solutions, an incubated startup from the Surge 3.0 Annual Incubation Program.

The introduction event, which took place at Mayfair Lagoon, Bhubaneswar, saw the revelation of the innovative Recycle Pay App by Dr Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner, East and Northeast India. This groundbreaking application intends to encourage waste recycling, promoting a culture of environmental consciousness and responsibility.

Dr. Fleming, while speaking to the audience, stressed the importance of the India-UK Roadmap 2030 in tackling India's waste management challenges. He mentioned, "They aspire to initiate a new phase of cooperation on urbanization by endorsing smart and sustainable cities, advocating climate action, effective waste management, and a circular economy."

The event also had notable figures in attendance, such as Nihar Ranjan Sahoo, Chief Environmental Engineer, Odisha State Pollution Control Board, Ms. Elizabeth Atwell, Head-Resilience, Infrastructure & Urban Development, British High Commission, New Delhi, Shri Rashmi Ranjan Sahoo, Senior Mission Associate, Startup Odisha, and Ms. Deepshikha Sarkar, Incubation Manager, AIC-Nalanda Institute of Technology Foundation.

Following the launch, Neelima Mishra, Founder of Ceiba Green Solutions, conducted a workshop on the Recycle Pay App. She popularized the slogan "Sort. Recycle. Earn." and explained the circular economy business model integrated into the application.
