Kolkata port leases millennium park-III for commerce

Considering the riverfront location of the land, the port authorities have established terms and conditions to ensure zero pollution. The constructions carried out by the lessee must comply with the regulations outlined in the "West Bengal Trees (Protection and Conservation in Non-forest areas) Rules, 2007" of the West Bengal Forest Department. It has also been clarified that only temporary constructions will be allowed, adhering to the KMC Building rules of 2009 or any other relevant statutory regulations applicable at that time. Additionally, to prevent pollution in the River Ganga, the lessee is obligated to conduct "sustainable and climate-conscious operations" and maintain the cleanliness of the premises.
