Noida Airport & BPCL to Lay Dedicated ATF Pipeline

Once operational, this dedicated ATF pipeline will function on a common/contract carrier basis, ensuring a seamless flow of fuel transportation to the airport, according to a joint statement released by the entities.
Kiran Jain, Chief Operating Officer of Noida International Airport, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating, ?We are pleased to collaborate with BPCL for the development of a common-use fuel transportation pipeline, which aligns with our strategic vision of offering cost-efficient and sustainable solutions that are more economical for the transportation of liquid fuels compared to road transport. We are confident that this move will reduce carbon emissions and boost our overall efficiency, contributing to a more sustainable future, which is the need of the hour.?
BPCL, a public sector oil refiner, has a track record of spearheading the establishment of ATF facilities across airports in the country and allied infrastructure in India.
Situated in Jewar, western Uttar Pradesh, Noida International Airport is anticipated to commence operations by the end of 2024. In its initial phase, the airport will feature one runway, and one terminal, and will have a capacity to handle 12 million passengers annually, promising significant advancements in airport infrastructure in the region.
