AI Facial Recognition Enhances Tunnel Security

In a significant upgrade to security measures, an AI-based facial recognition system has been installed at the Navyug Tunnel in Qazigund, Jammu and Kashmir. This technology is part of a broader smart policing initiative aimed at enhancing public safety and combating crime more efficiently.

The system is designed to identify and track individuals involved in criminal activities, including history sheeters, drug peddlers, absconders, and members of banned organisations. By leveraging advanced AI technology, the police aim to improve their ability to track down criminals and contribute to a more intelligent and proactive policing framework (Kashmir Vision) (Kashmir Life).
