The upcoming station is part of the Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg corridor, one of the three priority corridors under Phase IV. The construction work is in advanced stages, with civil works nearing completion and systems installation underway.
Phase IV includes 65 kilometres of new metro lines, designed to cover under-served areas and provide better integration with the existing network. The project is expected to facilitate smoother and more efficient travel for daily commuters, addressing the city's growing public transportation needs.
The new corridors will feature modern amenities and improved safety measures. Additionally, the integration of advanced signalling systems and eco-friendly practices underscores DMRC's commitment to sustainable urban transport solutions.
Officials highlight that the timely completion of the first station is crucial for meeting the overall deadlines of the Phase IV project, which is scheduled for completion by 2026. The successful rollout of this phase is anticipated to significantly enhance Delhi's public transport landscape, offering residents more travel options and reducing dependence on road traffic.
Further updates on the project will be provided as the opening date approaches, ensuring commuters are well-informed about the new developments in Delhi's metro infrastructure.
