Kurnool will be turned into Smart City: TG Bharat

Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing TG Bharat, stated that he intended to transform Kurnool town into a smart city. He also expressed plans to initiate measures for industrial development in Andhra Pradesh comparable to Gujarat.

During a media conference held on Saturday, Bharat mentioned that he had observed the issues faced by the public during the election campaign, where people had submitted their grievances to him. He noted that these concerns had been brought to the attention of Municipal Commissioner A. Bhargava Teja. Bharat highlighted that suggestions were provided to resolve these issues, emphasising the state's commitment to foster industrial development to mitigate unemployment. He assured that steps would be taken to attract more industries to the state, aligning efforts with those of Gujarat.

Bharat further outlined plans to develop the Industrial Corridor at Orvakal, alongside efforts to revive Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) previously signed with industrialists during Investor Summits. He mentioned the introduction of a streamlined single-window system to expedite permissions (within 21 days) for entrepreneurs intending to establish industries. The media conference was attended by Kurnool Municipal Corporation Commissioner A. Bhargava Teja and others.
