Andhra Pradesh CM Requests Rs 1 Tn Aid for State Reconstruction

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has appealed to the central government for financial assistance totaling Rs 1 trillion to facilitate the reconstruction and development of the state. The request comes in the wake of severe damage caused by recent natural calamities and the ongoing efforts to rehabilitate affected communities.

CM Naidu emphasised the urgent need for substantial funding to undertake comprehensive reconstruction projects, including rebuilding infrastructure, restoring public services, and supporting livelihoods affected by cyclones and other disasters. He highlighted the scale of devastation and the immense resources required to expedite recovery efforts across Andhra Pradesh.

The state has been grappling with the aftermath of cyclones and floods, which have inflicted significant economic losses and displaced thousands of residents. CM Naidu underscored the importance of robust financial support from the central government to expedite recovery and mitigate the long-term impact on the state's economy and infrastructure.

The proposed aid package aims to not only rebuild damaged infrastructure but also to enhance resilience against future natural disasters through sustainable development initiatives. CM Naidu emphasised the need for a collaborative approach between the state and central governments to ensure effective implementation and equitable distribution of resources.
