Italian construction equipment market registers loss of 16%

In the first six months of 2024, 9,688 construction machines have been placed on the Italian market, registering a loss of -16% if compared to the first half of 2023. Specifically, 9,256 earth-moving machines (-17%) and 432 road machines (+23%) have been sold according to the. market figures released by Unacea and based upon the sales of manufacturing and import companies.

"The Italian construction equipment market went down in the first six months of 2024, despite a growth between the first and second quarters - said Michele Vitulano, President of Unacea. It is important to consider that sales levels have been particularly high in previous years, so the current decline does not surprise and was expected as well."
